Burj Dubai

Burj Dubai tower, still under construction, is (May 2007) the world's second tallest building at 468 metres with 130 storeys. The tower is reportedly only 39.9 metres shorter than the Taipei 101 building : objective to reach around 800m !

Dubai is to have more supertowers, buildings with over 100 storeys, than any other city in the world. By 2015, Dubai should have six supertowers: the Burj Dubai, set to be the worlds tallest building, the 120 storey Pentominium, the 108 storey Burj Al Alam, the 107 storey Princess Tower, the 101 storey Marina 101 and the Al Burj which could have up to 200 storeys.
